Management, Leadership and Learning in Education
As educational professionals we are often so busy dealing with changes that ‘tweak’ the details of flawed systems (but still cause additional work and stress) that we are unable to step back, think about how we want to ‘do business’ in education, and learn to see with fresh eyes. With all the talk of ‘reform’ in education, debates on standards and assessment and rhetoric about the importance of educational leadership – we often forget that our role as educational supervisors, managers and leaders is more about learning, passion and purpose.

Web 2.0 into the EFL classroom
The World Wide Web is no longer a one-way street of information providers serving passive consumers. Web 2.0 is all about connecting, collaborating and involving. The Internet hasn’t changed, but the way we use it has dramatically altered over the last two years. Society’s perception of education is evolving to accommodate this new paradigm, which is affecting everyone involved: administrators, teachers, students and parents. Participants in this course will learn practical ways to take advantage of the exciting potential of Web 2.0 in the classroom, staffroom and the wider community.
